Women remain significantly underrepresented across the industry - particularly in technical and leadership roles. Getting more women into AV is part of the answer. Keeping them, developing them and giving them opportunities to lead is where lasting change happens. Rise AV exists to make that change happen. ### Our mission is to change the AV industry. We believe a stronger AV industry is one where women have the opportunity to enter, progress and build rewarding, long-term careers. That means more than recruitment. It means better development, better leadership, stronger networks and better workplaces. Through mentoring, leadership development, community, networking, research and advocacy, Rise works across the industry to: - **Attract** more women and showcase the opportunities available in AV. - **Develop** skills, confidence and leadership capability at every career stage. - **Connect** women with mentors, role models, peers and opportunities. - **Retain** talented people by helping create workplaces where they feel valued and supported. - **Change** business practices so diversity becomes part of how the industry operates — not an initiative on the side. ## Our Focus Areas #### **Attract: Bringing more women into AV** Raise awareness of the opportunities available across AV, challenge perceptions of the industry and create pathways for new talent to enter. #### **Develop: Building skills, confidence and careers** Provide mentoring, professional development and practical learning that helps women progress at every stage of their career. #### **Lead: Developing the next generation of leaders** Give women the skills, confidence, networks and commercial understanding to move into management and senior leadership. #### **Connect: Building networks and community** Create meaningful connections between women, mentors, leaders, businesses and allies, opening up access to knowledge, opportunities and support. #### **Retain: Creating workplaces where people want to stay** Work with businesses to understand and address the barriers that cause talented people to leave, helping create better cultures, career pathways and support systems. #### **Change: Driving industry-wide change** Use research, advocacy, partnerships and industry leadership to challenge outdated practices and make diversity, inclusion and better people practices part of how AV businesses operate.
